This bag is for my co-worker, my partner in crime that I work with in Pasadena. She keeps me sane and I her. She too, like my old boss at NightLight enjoys earthy tones. This was the earthiest I could deal with. I know, I'm horribly stubborn with my own taste!
Anyway, I haven't sewn anything for her yet, (just made stationery), so I'm pretty excited about this since I always tell her that I am sewing. This time it will be for her!
Last minute, I added this gift tag. The stamp was part of a Christmas gift tag set I got from Target for $5 (5 stamps in all!), and the gold paper is leftover from my friend Liz's bridal shower invitations, and I used scalloped scissors to cut the green border.

Baby burp cloths!
I'm not getting creative here, just staying consistent, which is all I can manage to do these days :)
My friend Piya is expecting and her baby shower is in Feb. I also found this cute onesie that seems "so her". And by her, I mean like Piya.

Card making in Whistler
I could bring limited supplies in my carry-on to Whistler, but enough to pull it off!
Made more birthday cards and some baby shower cards (it's baby season among my friends!) while overlooking the mountains. Glorious.

Birthday cards using the rounded corners
I finally got back into crafting after the holidays...gotta get stocked up for birthdays, weddings, baby showers, and thank you's.
The longest part is designing the card, even though it is heavily inspired by examples found on Pinterest. I like to make several of the same one so I remember the order in which to glue tape very thing on!
Next time ill make a card that fills up the entire space with these little shapes. Justin says it looks like the Microsoft logo :/

Embossed monogrammed notecards
Here are some gifts- can you guess their names?
I had the best day making these in Mammoth Mountain, in our hotel room (!) while Justin snowboarded. I broke for lunch and took the gondola up the mountain to meet Justin for some chili in a bread bowl. Grabbed some hot chocolate and wrote Christmas cards while watching Shawshank Redemption on TV.
All this while enjoying a view of the snow covered trees and mountains outside my window :) That's my idea of fun. I know. It's weird.

As Justin calls our kitchen table "Santa's Sweatshop"...
Here are a few things I'm working on (wipes sweat from brow)

Birthday Bonanza
Here are a variety of birthday cards I made tonight while Justin played Call of Duty. Some I'm more proud of than others. The balloon one is for my 3 yr old niece Olivia. Justin suggested I use string for the balloons instead of pen :)
Oh and the last one is for my friend Sarah from community group whose baby short is this weekend.
